Mrs. Furlong has enjoyed being a School Nurse in Wilmington for the past 16 years. She started at the Boutwell in 2002 then went to the Middle School for six years and has been the full time High School Nurse since 2013-2014 school year. She received her Bachelors of Nursing at UMASS, Amherst in 1986 and earned her National Certification of School Nursing in 2015. Mrs. Furlong has previous experience in Intensive Care having worked in the ICU at Mass General Hospital, Lahey Clinic, and Morristown Memorial in New Jersey. Some of her favorite school activities have been being the Advisor for the Medical Careers Club, going on the 8^th grade field trips to Washington DC and coordinating the Bread and Roses project. Mrs. Furlong is an active member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association and is the Co-chair for the Wilmington Nurses.
