Wilmington Public Schools is recommending summer reading assignments for all students entering grades 6-12. Students taking AP English Language & Composition or AP English Literature & Composition will have required assignments. Summer reading encourages independent learning, active reading, and critical thinking. Summer reading also helps students maintain the progress they have made as readers and writers during the academic year.

For Summer Reading 2020, the English department at WMS and WHS has curated a list of recommended books that students can obtain electronically, at no cost. Please see this google link for more information.
