Kaitlyn Brothers comes to Wilmington Public Schools with a broad range of clinical experience including medical/surgical, pediatric, newborn and postpartum. She graduated from SNHU in 2019 with a BSN. Over the years, she has provided skilled care in both the inpatient setting and outpatient pediatric offices. She has developed a solid foundation in patient centered nursing. Kaitlyn consistently applies her clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and empathy to support a diverse patient population. Kaitlyn is married and is a very busy mother with two school-age children.

Sopany Sam is thrilled to serve as the school nurse at Wilmington Middle School. With five years of experience as a registered nurse and a background in pediatrics, newborn, and postpartum care, she brings both skill and compassion to her role.

Sopany began her nursing journey by earning her Associate Degree in Nursing and later went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a focus on Public Health at Regis College in 2023.

Her passion for school nursing comes from her desire to care for students’ physical and emotional well-being so they can thrive both in and out of the classroom. She is experienced in providing first aid, managing chronic conditions, and administering medications, and she takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for all students.

Outside of school, Sopany enjoys spending time with her husband and their three grown children. She loves arts and crafts, family gatherings, and relaxing days at the beach.

In addition to English, Sopany is fluent in her native language, Khmer, and is always happy to connect with families from diverse backgrounds.
