The Business Office of Wilmington Public Schools provides financial management for the school district, including the development of budgets and financial procedures, forecasting, reporting, grant management, procurement, accounting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable services.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Assistant Superintendent of Administration and Finance also oversees the following support functions: Student Transportation, Facilities Scheduling, Food Services, and the C.A.R.E.S. before and after school program. The Assistant Superintendent of Administration and Finance further acts as the liaison with the Town of Wilmington’s Public Buildings, Public Works, Accounting and Treasury and other Departments, and serves as Homeless Liaison for the school district.
